When I was one I had just begun
When I was two I was nearly new

But now I am six, I'm as clever as clever;

Today, February 1, marks the start of Black History Month we can use this as an opportunity to recognize, highlight and celebrate African/African American achievements and contributions to society In 1926, historian Carter G. Woodson developed an annual week-long celebration in February as a way to commemorate Abraham Lincoln’s birthday and Frederick Douglass’ birthday. And now we are 30...

So my last blog was about the life and times of a twenty something. It was fun. My 20s were filled with learning experiences, heart break, laughs, tears, and some serious doses of reality. That old blog was mostly poetry. I find that writing my emotions out in rhyme is cathartic... I'm not sure why. If you have been following for any length of time you are aware that I do not do "resolutions". Any change you are really committed to make can start right now. I do like to take some time and reevaluate the goals I have set for myself. Now goals are things you know you want to do and have put down and planned to accomplish. I suggest you actually write them down. Make then real by telling people about them, accountability partners are very helpful. And set milestones. Stick to it and #wala. I say all this knowing full well that I need this advice. I have so many things I WANT to do... and so little actual motivation to get any of them done. So today is me letting y...
